- I usually try to use the lowwer shin rather than instep or ball of the foot.
- From experience I found that whereing the instep pads helps protect agaist
- getting stomped and an elbow blocking the a round house kick that clubs the
- instep.
- The ball of the foot has many important applications but toes sprain easily
- some times.
- Blocking is also easier with the shin that with the instep or the ball.
