- I have acquired through inheritance a genuine 1863 Springfield
- muzzle-loader. It appears to be 58 caliber with percussion cap
- ignition. It has the loading rod and is clearly engraved. It
- seems to be in beautiful condition. It is about 50 inches long and
- has folding range elevation rear sights. Does anyone have an
- idea of this gun's value as a collector's item?
