- My daughter is doing a classroom presentation on the carob tree. I have been
- trying to find some carob pods in the local stores with no success. I have
- read that there are lots of carob trees in California. Is there anyone out
- there that could package up 4 or 5 with perhaps some leaves off a tree and
- send them this way?? I would, of course, be happy to pay for the shipping
- costs to here (Houston, Texas).
-
- In reading her references, I see that they appear to grow in zone 9. Does
- anyone have any idea if they would grow here? We get, on the average, about
- 50 inches of rain per year.
