- Another Xmas tree alternative that my in-laws used for several years was
- to construct a wire frame covered with pine cones scavenged from the
- forests. You've got the pine, and you haven't cut a tree. You can make
- it any size you want to collect enough cones for. And it could be
- collapsible to store in a big plastic bag for next year.
