  20.    I believe NEC has been working on compression algorithms for the Turbo
  21. for several years now.  They just haven't been brought to market.  I remember
  22. EGM's attitude about this development after a CES some years back - "Ho Hum..."
  23. or something along those lines.  I found it amusing that they took so little
  24. interest in a topic that will be increasingly important in the months (and
  25. years) to come.

  27.    On another (hopefully) related note - in the International section of the
  28. new EGM, there is a blurb on the NEC 32 bit system.  Apparently NEC is
  29. considering making this an upgrade for the PCEngine/Duo, in lieu of a System
  30. 4.0 card.  An official announcement was expected in late October.  Should
  31. be interesting to see if anything comes of the rumor.

  33.    All this technology talk is fine, but I'm just waiting for Time Cruise
  34. to come out for the Duo.  It's slated for December, and I can hardly wait!
  35. IF you liked Devil's Crush, you'll LOVE Time Cruise.  (Sorry Steve, I guess
  36. you'll have to wait a bit longer for the ultimate video pin!  ;-) )
