-
- No one taught you to judge a person by his/her actions and not by their
- words, ever? I for one will never let my kids go to school in
- Pennsylvania. :-) The pronoun was you and the message was directed
- toward me is I made a concenptual leap, which I'm sure you'll all agree
- is pretty hard for me to do, and thought the pronoun meant me. If it
- was meant to be a general comment on life then I apologize.

-
- Abusive? I said condescending. To be condescending one does not
- necessarily have to use profanity or be abusive. The begining of your
- letter was pleasant it was the ending that I resented (see below).
-
- >I have never said anything inpolite to you, and even warned you that you
- >were going to take alot of shit for your proposal. I don't remember the
- >entire context, but there's no need to lie about it...geez.
-
- Oh gee, so you sent me, the person who "seem(s) like a nice reasonable
- guy", the mail message to save me from taking a lot of crap; as if I
- didn't know that I was going to get crap from the beginning? The
- history of r.g.n is people giving other people alot of crap. So you
- were magnanimois enough to send me your kind, sweet, message to save me
- from the from the horrors of the rath of r.g.n. This is what I meant
- by condescending. And because I didn't follow your advice you get
- angry with me.
-
- The intent behind posting the RFD, in and of itself, wasn't wrong. I
- thought it was the way to get a discussion rolling (and boy did it ever
- get rolling!). I acknowlege that the overwhelming majority of the
- discussion was against the split but that's not the point. I never
- said that I would be the sole moderator. I only put myself in as a
- placeholder. How was I supposed to ask if anyone wanted to be a
- moderator if I was told not to discuss it until I posted an RFD?
- Finally, I even asked for others and even said that the more the
- better. So what actions are left except that I didn't do things the
- way you wanted me to do?
-
- >I *can* show you condescending if you would like. I frankly don't give a
- >shit what you do...I kindof hope you do take your little stupid proposal
- >to a CFV so it can be voted down. Even if it won, do you think I would be
- >adversely effected somehow? My life doesn't revolve around this or any
- >other newsgroup. Get a grip, alan!
-
- An example of an angry paragraph, not a condescending paragraph.
-
- >By the way, alan, this was posted before I sent any email your way. Maybe
- >if you would read rec.games.netrek as often as you boot people off
- >discovery for profanity, you would be up to date.
-
- You've obviously neglected to read my previous posts or chose not to
- reference them to your advantage. The University server was sick.
- Also, I've only booted one person off of discovery and only after
- repeated warnings. But you didn't bother to obtain the facts did you?
-
- Robert, you were VERY polite. But, you were still condescending.
