  25.   Finally won one of these games.  The relevant stats:
  26. 2417676 points, level 27 (Wizard), 166 Hp, AC -33.
  27. Str 18 89, others at 18 (cept Ch at 17) (started of with Str 17, which was
  28.  pretty useful.)
  29. Got 4 charges out of WoW.
  30. Extensive polypiling, ending me up with a mess o' gain abilities, enchant
  31.  armors, remove curses, and probably 8 Life Savings.  I had a level with
  32.  two altars, lawful and neutral, so I was blessing things as they came
  33.  off the polypile and occasionally pacifying Thoth.  Also a gray unicorn on
  34.  the level and I was able to stock up a bunch of identified jewels. 
  35. Also got lucky with a couple of ghosts.  Stockpiled some pretty good
  36.  stuff, and only needed a couple of blessed remove curses to make it usable.
  37. Always carried about 4 of the Life Savings with me, but only used one,
  38.  by stepping in a pond when I thought I was wearing levitation instead of
  39.  speed boots.  
  40. Excalibur +5.  Also had Firebrand +5, but never used it. 
  41. Used conflict for the Castle level, but abandoned it after that because I
  42.  was petrified of losing teleport control or polymorph control.  Didn't
  43.  miss it either.
  44. By the time I went after the Wizard, I'd mapped out all the levels above
  45.  him (up to a point, anyway) and dug out paths to the stairs as much as
  46.  possible.  Seemed like this did speed me up a lot.  He only came after
  47.  me twice before the EndLevel.  I took both swords and several blessed
  48.  tamings with me, but mainly I just swatted my way through.  This is the
  49.  first time I've had an AC this good, and even minotaurs never got me
  50.  below 130 Hp or so.  I was shocked, 'cause they've mopped up the floor
  51.  with me every other time.
  52. Blew up a bag of holding.  Sigh.
  53. Almost thought the Endgame was over when I killed a couple of giants in
  54.  a doorway and the door got blocked up with boulders.  Figured a wand
  55.  of digging would work, but it doesn't.  Eventually Scotty beamed a new
  56.  giant in on the other side and he picked the boulders up for me.
  57. Wasted an hour in the EndLevel looking for the damn stairs.  Didn't
  58.  recognize the altars...thought they were walls.  Stupid, yes.

  60. Okay.  Last thing you need is to spend time you're not playing reading
  61.  long posts.  Mainly I want to thank the development team, and all
  62.  you die-hards who provided the ever-so-vital spoilers.  I used them
  63.  shamelessly.
