- The best collection in English that I know of is contained in
- `The GO Player's Almanac,' edited by Richard Bozulich. Much of the
- historical material has appeared before in GO World (some of these
- unavailable) and in `Invincible: The Games of Shusaku,' which is
- out of print.
-
- The only way to follow up the Almanac would be to search through
- academic books and journal articles on Japanese history and
- culture. Not very many writers have appreciated GO, so it is
- seldom mentioned, or briefly at best. The Almanac is your best
- single source for now.
