  50. hand (white vs red, no less)?  Actually, against this unwieldy EW bidding
  51. system, I can see where it would pay to preempt on just about anything.  On
  52. the auction above, the preempt has East taking a preference from a 6-2 fit
  53. into a 3-4 fit.

  62. 4C is outrageous.  North has fewer Clubs and more Spades than he rates to
  63. have for his "preempt".  The decision was good.
