- What you're saying makes sense. I think 4C is definitely Gerber on
- this auction, unless you have a specific agreement that Gerber applies
- only over 1NT and 2NT openings or something like that. But this is
- the kind of hand where 4C should be Gerber. Opener has a limited,
- balanced hand, and a raise to 4NT should definitely be quantitative,
- so you need 4C to ask for aces. In my regular partnerships, I have
- Gerber marked as "obvious over notrump", which means 4C is Gerber in
- notrump auctions and any time it's clearly not anything else. This
- auction definitely qualifies.

- Minor Force showing 5 spades.
