- After years and years of playing with the original "vanilla"
- weapons, we have bought the new tech readout with gauss guns,
- turbo engines, lock-on-SRM's, etc. It's time to learn tactics
- all over again!
-
- I would appreciate postings or e-mail providing advice on
- the following topics:
- (1) What are the better mechs in the new tech readout, or
- what are important design criteria for mechs under high
- tech? It seems that with the advent of the gauss gun,
- maneuverability is now foremost, with firepower next and
- survivability (armor) last.
-
- (2) New tactics to employ given the new weapons and turbo
- engines?
-
- I have been downloading and enjoying the last week's postings
- of 'home-brew' equipment (missile shields, head-targeting missiles,
- etc). I would appreciate mail on these items as well.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- steve
