  12. After years and years of playing with the original "vanilla"
  13. weapons, we have bought the new tech readout with gauss guns,
  14. turbo engines, lock-on-SRM's, etc.  It's time to learn tactics
  15. all over again!

  17. I would appreciate postings or e-mail providing advice on
  18. the following topics:
  19.   (1) What are the better mechs in the new tech readout, or
  20.       what are important design criteria for mechs under high
  21.       tech?  It seems that with the advent of the gauss gun,
  22.       maneuverability is now foremost, with firepower next and
  23.       survivability (armor) last.
  24.  
  25.   (2) New tactics to employ given the new weapons and turbo
  26.       engines?
  27.  
  28. I have been downloading and enjoying the last week's postings
  29. of 'home-brew' equipment (missile shields, head-targeting missiles,
  30. etc).  I would appreciate mail on these items as well.
