- I have a better story. Two summers ago, my wife and I go to Las Vegas
- for the second time, to meet some friends that have been there a lot.
- They get us a room at the Trop at the casino rate as part of a
- promotional deal. We arrive early and check in, and while waiting for my
- friends, she decides to take a nap (she was on call the night before and
- didn't sleep) and I decide to try my hand at some Blackjack. I go
- downstairs and find a spot next to third base, and am doing O.K. for a
- while when the guy next to me gets two red fives, flips them over, and
- doubles down. The dealer points to the jackpot sign over out head and
- asks if he wouldn't rather go for the 4 red 5 jackpot. He calmly looks at
- her and says: (drumroll)
- "But this is a single deck game!"
