  12. No offense intended, but skewers is really BAD
  13. restaurant.  It is not always clean, they cook
  14. shawarma and other meats ahead of time and then
  15. microwave them.

  17. For midleastern cuisine my choices would be:
  18.  
  19. 1. Karoun (West Newton, off Mass Pike) - excellent
  20.     armenian food, including terrrrrrrific shish-
  21.     kabobs (I slobber already), shawarma, etc.
  22.     Their shrimp kabob is an event too.
  23.     Do not go for appetizers, though.  Otherwise
  24.     you will not be able to finish your entree.
  25.     Sheap - Top priced plate is about $12.

  27.     Note: they brew real (real) coffe in ibriks -
  28.     not common in the Boston area - and it is excellent too.

  30. 2. Sabra (Newton Centre) - a little more expensive
  31.     but still good.
  32. 3. Masada (Brookline, Beacon St, off Washington Street.)
  33.     I haven't been there, but heard good things about it.

  36. Again, if I had to choose and Skewers were my only
  37. choice - I would not go.
