  40.    Most wine is meant to be "quaffed" within the first year.  The appeal of
  41. the Noveau is just that - "New".  There's a nice, mayhaps, pagan sense of
  42. drinking something so close to nature; after all it just came off the vine
  43. two months prior!  This is not a wine meant to be analyzed, just drink with
  44. a delightful meal!  Hurry though, I hope this time next year we won't have
  45. a stupid tariff on red wines as well!
  46.    According to the New York Times today, November 18th, the French begin
  47. drinking it tonight.  I'll be trying the new vintages on Friday night here
  48. in Manhattan.
  49.    I wonder if Duboeuf (spelling?) will be as good as he has been?  His
  50. Gamay (under $5) was perfect for Turkey on Thanksgiving!
