- That's ONE possibility. But it's not the only one. I have a TB
- mare who LOVES to be groomed--after the ride. BEFORE the ride, she
- seems to know what's coming: she's antsy, nippy (when I do her face),
- kicky (when I get to her flanks). She's not mean--if I get annoyed
- and speak sharply or whack her, she stops the funny stuff--and she's
- never hurt me (and I don't think ever would). But I think Dollar
- might be smart that way too, esp. if he's a lesson horse. Try
- grooming him AFTER the lesson--take a towel and rub the sweat
- marks where the bridle goes and under the saddle and see if his
- attitude is any different. Just a thought.
