  33. That's ONE possibility.  But it's not the only one.  I have a TB
  34. mare who LOVES to be groomed--after the ride.  BEFORE the ride, she
  35. seems to know what's coming:  she's antsy, nippy (when I do her face),
  36. kicky (when I get to her flanks).  She's not mean--if I get annoyed
  37. and speak sharply or whack her, she stops the funny stuff--and she's
  38. never hurt me (and I don't think ever would).  But I think Dollar
  39. might be smart that way too, esp. if he's a lesson horse.  Try
  40. grooming him AFTER the lesson--take a towel and rub the sweat
  41. marks where the bridle goes and under the saddle and see if his
  42. attitude is any different.  Just a thought.
