  15. I have Santa Claus convinced that I need a saddle for Christmas!  I've been
  16. taking lessons for almost a year now and plan to start leasing this summer
  17. (when the car is paid for).  I am trying to accumulate tack bit by bit (no
  18. pun intended) since I eventually intend to own my own horse.  Hopefully
  19. this will lessen the financial shock to my husband (a.k.a. Santa).

  21. AAAAAnnyway... I think I may want to show eventually too.  Everyone at
  22. the stable where I am taking lessons is very high on Ted Aldal saddles.
  23. I plan to buy something used and something suitable for showing if I decide
  24. to do so later on.  Is this saddle the absolute ultimate or what?  I know
  25. he must have some competition, but nobody talks about any other type of
  26. saddle at all.  I plan to spend up to $800.  Also, what does the size
  27. measurement refer to?  My trainer says I should probably look for a 15 1/2.
