- My understanding of the reason why bran mashes were fed was that
- the indigestible bran aided in defecation esp. after a hard day
- where the horse had produced adrenaline in copious amounts. The mash
- then helped the system to sort itself out.
-
- I was talking to my farrier (this guy is good value - not only do the
- horse's feet benefit but you get advice on how to live your life,
- which courses to study at university and he fixes cars too) about
- calcium/phosphorus balances. Something I didnt know was that an
- imbalance in this Ca/P can cause mental problems . Does anyone know
- anything to support refute this theory?
-
- And Christobel decided to sample my yogurt yesterday, I was sitting
- in her stall to keep her company, eating my dinner. I was holding the
- spoon up and talking to someone and this pink tongue went SLURP!
-
- She ate the rest : 1 spoon for you 1 spoon for me. Its bad enough I
- have to share my dinner with the dogs- but Christobel?!?!?!?!?!
