- Hello Tony,
-
- This is a tough one to answer I think, because all horses are different.
- It is similar to people. Some people/horses are more prone to illnesses,
- etc. I am a new horse owner (about 9 months now) and I've been pretty
- lucky so far. I have not had a vet out except for the pre-purchase
- examine and Ginger's shots. So far she seems to be a pretty healthy horse.
-
- Of course it also depends on where they are kept and things of that nature.
- Horses in pasture seem to get a few more cuts and scrapes due to little
- differences of opinions with each other.
-
- I'd be real curious to hear what others have to say on this matter.
-
