- When my horse has had scratches (usually the white legs), I've used
- a Betadine scrub to wash the area with (let sit for about 10 min.)
- and then after the area is totally dry, cover the scratches with
- either a Betadine solution or ointment. This usually clears up the
- problem in about 3-4 days.

- I've never used that mix. I would guess it would work well, but since
- you say he's in pasture, you might find it a bit messy.
