- Here's a few more of my stitchery projects:
-
- I'm also working on a Jeanne Christine pattern _The Cat_.
- It's a wild cheshire cat with paisley designs in bold colors done
- in mostly floss & blending filament combinations. I finished one
- of her masks _Orchid Mask_ for a good friend a few Christmases ago.
- I love this pattern, but I have three others which demand my time
- because they have deadlines. I bought 4 of the Jeanne Christine
- line patterns when they first came out: _Orchid Mask_, _Star Mask_,
- _The Cat_, and _The Mouse_. There was also a peacock pattern that
- included a peacock feather to stitch into the work. I haven't seen
- it in a long time and I'd love to have it. I hope this line isn't
- out of print.
- I'm also working on _Ming Orchids_. This one won an award in
- 1987 (I know because my copy has a gold seal with this information
- emblazoned on it). The Ginny Award, I think. I don't remember the
- company off-hand, maybe Carolyn Meachem's Serendipity Designs. I
- have many of these designs.
- I do own all of the Theresa Wentzler graphs up to the issue
- of _Father Christmas_. She keeps improving. Her newest works have
- been _Castle Sampler_, _Night_ & _Day_, some Christmas Victorian
- thing with a tree. I don't own these yet. I've already put in my
- request for the newest one _The Peacock Tapestry_ at my local
- needle junkie shop :). I haven't actually started any of the
- Wentzler pieces yet, because I've been working on too many others.
- I own all of the Marbek angel series. The designer (is it
- Margaret or Martha) just keeps getting better with time. Her new one
- _Arcadian Angel_ is a recent addition to my collection. I've always
- dreamed about stitching her angels and making a wall-hanging quilt
- out of the entire group.
- Another series that I'm fond of is Lavender & Lace. I own
- most of these graphs. I've just noticed several new ones in the
- collection for this Christmas.
-
- I'm not doing as many stitched projects as I did in 1987-
- 1990, because I started weaving. I've also started creating my own.
- I'm stitching a color wheel right now for one of my Weaver's Guild
- programs. The color wheel is enclosed in a black border with a
- border design of my creation and a figure of a smiling sun in the
- center of the wheel. It's pretty simple, but very colorful, and
- it's one of my favorites right now. Probably because it's *my*
- design.
- I decided a long time ago that graphs were inexpensive for
- the amount of pleasure that I get from going through them. I buy
- many that I probably will never actually stitch, but you never know
- when the urge to start something new will hit. I keep a small stitch
- box in my purse with a project in a plastic Zip-lock baggie. The
- color wheel is my current purse project. I've done Christmas ornaments,
- dollhouse miniature stitched rugs, and full-size pictures as purse
- projects in the past. The only bad thing about doing this is that I
- worry about muggers. (Please, Please, take my money, but leave me my
- stitchery!)
-
- Yep. I have a *serious* needle habit.

- simultaneously.)
