  17. I am very interested in finding a copy of a 1930's quilt pattern called Star
  18. of France.  According to my sources, this pattern was designed by H. Ver
  19. Mehren's Home Art Studio in Des Moines Iowa and was pattern #151.  
  20. information this time.

  22. The pattern is a 4 pointed star (Lone Star type) set on the diagonal with a
  23. circular piece in the center and fan-like embellishments between the 4 points.
  24. The pattern is based on a military medal from the Nepoleonic period.  I have
  25. seen a picture of a single quilt that was made in yellow, gold and rust.  This
  26. picture has been published in at least 4 places, including: _Treasury of
  27. American Quilts_ by Nelson and Houck, the 1982 Quilt Engagement Calendar,
  28. _Twentieth Century Quilts_ by Woodward and Greenstein and _Shining Star
  29. Quilts_ by Judy Martin.

  31. If you know of any place that this pattern has been reprinted or any place
  32. that sells the old Home Art Studio patterns, please let me know.  I am
  33. prepared to draft the pattern from scratch if need be, but I would prefer to
  34. find a copy of the original.

  36. I asked the net about this pattern over 2 years ago with no response; I'm
  37. hoping to get a response or two this time as the textile groups have expanded
  38. considerably.
