- I have a recipe from the Better Homes and Gardens "Holiday Crafts Kids
- Can Make" book for a bread dough which can be used for Xmas ornaments,
- etc.
-
- The basic recipe is 2 cups flour, 1 cup salt, and 1 cup cold water.
-
- This can be mixed with white acrylic paint, or dyed with food color.
-
- It looks like they mainly recommend making everything about 1/2" in
- thickness and baking these in the oven at 325 degrees for one to two
- hours, until hard. Cool them on wire racks. Once they are cooled, use a
- slotted spoon to dip them in the paraffin.
-
- I have seen a lot of these dough ornaments in the stores this year and
- can't wait to try this myself!
