- This looks very, very bad then. I think I may go home early tonight
- to quoff a Molson for Mike. I still hope he's OK.
-
- Maybe an Argos was to be fitted by the race committee? In a non-stop
- race around the world I would think they would want some proof that the
- boats actually went all the way around. An Argos transponder would give
- them this information. Remember the Donald (David?) Crowhurst incident?
-
- It's also unfortunate that Mike Burati's experience seems to indicate
- that since the FCC has begun to charge for its services, the service they
- provide may have gone down the toilet. The last time I applied for a
- licence was in 1988, before the $35 "processing fee" was levied. They
- sent me the form within a week, and I got my license shortly thereafter.
