  14. Earthbound Medical Rescue is the current Wilderness Medicine training
  15. contractor for the Department of the Interior, Geological Survey.

  17. Earthbound is holding their winter session Wilderness Medicine class
  18. and workshop on Dec. 5 & 6 at Alum Rock Park in San Jose, CA from 8:30 to 5:00. 
  19. The cost is $100.00.

  21. No prerequisite is required, however prior first-aid training is helpful.
  22. Participants will be provided a list of pre-class study subjects.

  24. A certificate of completion will be given upon completion of the class.
  25. The curriculum is the same that is currently being taught to the field
  26. personnel from the Geological Survey. The class will be a combination of 
  27. lecture, demonstration and hands-on practicals and scenarios. This class 
  28. is designed to provide participants with a focussed working knowledge and
  29. skills in first-aid required to provide care for those injured or ill
  30. hours or days away from communications with emergency medical services
  31. or care by a physician.
