  19. Legal immigration is set at about 500,000 per year by law.  Illegal is
  20. anybody's guess, but it at least equals the legal figure.  Most seem to
  21. go to Sunbelt states like California and Florida.

  24. (California) impacts of the resulting population growth.  They are immediately 
  25. slammed as racists by the ethnic activists who stand to gain by immigration, 
  26. and they then drop the matter like a hot potato.
