  23. Ah, I was waiting for the flames to ignite.  After all, you can't
  24. simply toss Christian sentiments aside, in a Christian culture.
  25. (Even the athiest reader's views are likely a product of this
  26. Christian Milieu.)

  28. Here's a question:  Is a single human life worth more than the lives
  29. of all the snakes in the world?  How about all the snakes plus all the
  30. mice?  Yes?  How about the snakes plus the mice plus all the chimpanzees?
  31. We laugh at those who once thought the earth was the center of the
  32. universe, yet we still believe humanity to be the center of the biosphere.

  34. The fact that the snake doesn't "think" implies only that the snake
  35. isn't guilty of stupidity.
