  11. I am looking at insulated supergaitors to add warmth to leather
  12. hiking boots and leather backcountry ski boots, and also to protect
  13. them from crampon points.  I have been able to find only two, both
  14. with Thinsulate on the bottom half of the gaitor.

  16. 1. Wild Country Buzzard(?) Supergaitors ($95), with Goretex.

  18. 2. Black Diamond Expedition Supergaitors ($90), with Ultrex.

  20. Does anyone have any experience with these?  How do they stand up
  21. to crampon points?  How durable is the rubber rand?  How helpful is
  22. the insulation?  Any others that I should know about?
