- I am looking at insulated supergaitors to add warmth to leather
- hiking boots and leather backcountry ski boots, and also to protect
- them from crampon points. I have been able to find only two, both
- with Thinsulate on the bottom half of the gaitor.
-
- 1. Wild Country Buzzard(?) Supergaitors ($95), with Goretex.
-
- 2. Black Diamond Expedition Supergaitors ($90), with Ultrex.
-
- Does anyone have any experience with these? How do they stand up
- to crampon points? How durable is the rubber rand? How helpful is
- the insulation? Any others that I should know about?
-
- Thanks for the help,
-
