  24. As chance would have it, four of us ventured down to Tangier
  25. just last Saturday, the 14th. One of the passengers (another
  26. pilot) had been there some time ago and urged us to go to the
  27. restaurant there....

  29. The flight down was uneventful, other than converging with a
  30. local pilot who was using a left-hand pattern for runway 2
  31. instead of a right-hand one---I *never* knew you were supposed
  32. to enter the pattern opposite of what the A.F.D. calls for and
  33. then spiral down on final from about 1000'AGL. But the locals
  34. do it, so what the heck...

  36. To make a short story from becoming even longer, the restaurant
  37. was closed and we settled for a bag of pretzels and a diet (yuk)
  38. pepsi! So, I wouldn't recommend Tangier this time of year....

  40. Maybe next time, we'll fly to the Bahamas for a bag of potato
  41. chips.....

  43. The only place I've heard of is on or near Bay Bridge airport.
  44. Easton has a nice Cafe, too.
