- As chance would have it, four of us ventured down to Tangier
- just last Saturday, the 14th. One of the passengers (another
- pilot) had been there some time ago and urged us to go to the
- restaurant there....
-
- The flight down was uneventful, other than converging with a
- local pilot who was using a left-hand pattern for runway 2
- instead of a right-hand one---I *never* knew you were supposed
- to enter the pattern opposite of what the A.F.D. calls for and
- then spiral down on final from about 1000'AGL. But the locals
- do it, so what the heck...
-
- To make a short story from becoming even longer, the restaurant
- was closed and we settled for a bag of pretzels and a diet (yuk)
- pepsi! So, I wouldn't recommend Tangier this time of year....
-
- Maybe next time, we'll fly to the Bahamas for a bag of potato
- chips.....
-
- The only place I've heard of is on or near Bay Bridge airport.
- Easton has a nice Cafe, too.
-
- Good luck,
