  17. I have had my '87 Jetta GL since it was 18months old. It has been 
  18. the *BEST* car that I have ever owned.

  20. The only two problems that I have had are: (1) replacement of the
  21. rear fuel transfer pump; (2) replacement of the right CV joint.
  22.  
  23. Outside of these things nothing major. I take the car in for twice
  24. a year checks to a dealer (they found the CV thing..) and I change the
  25. oil every 3 months - replace plugs and air filter according to the
  26. manual.

  28. I had what I thought was a problem last night as I was driving
  29. my 2 year old to Gymboree class. Whenever I turned left, the horn 
  30. went off.

  32. Well my son thought it was a gas (he laughed every time it went off)
  33. but the people in the quiet church parking lot I pulled into wondered
  34. what the hell the guy in the Jetta was doing (one guy gave me the
  35. one finger salute 8-))...it turned out that one of my keys was lodged
  36. in the gap between the sterring wheel and the column..

  38. Well, I can not say enought about my Jetta...103K Kilometers and 
  39. still ticking...
