- What you do is you point the top of the belt spool towards the rear of the
- car just a bit off of the vertical position. When the belt spool is in
- its original position for the front seat, it is pointed vertically.

- You then put the "hinge" portion on the "C-Pillar" and then the end of
- the seat belt bolts up on the same bolt that holds the belt spool
- at the bottom of the rear quarter. It works, didn't get any binding
- when I used it in my 86, unfortunately I had to remove the whole
- thing when I installed my SCHROTH electrically controlled harnesses
- in the GTI. The spool for those had to go in the "C-Pillar"
