  12. I'm posting this to rec.autos.vw in nj as it is an unusual GTi that
  13. would be of much greater interest to folks here than other places.

  15. We're getting a new car and I can't keep my heavily modified (but stock
  16. appearing) GTI.

  23. Neuspeed large diameter anti-roll bars - front and rear
  24. Neuspeed engine compartment brace
  25. Large diameter high capacity clutch installed at 80k miles
  26. Reworked shifter
  27. Drake (Offy) high compression hemihead/camshaft/valves
  28. Low restriction exhaust system
  29. Oil Cooler
  30. High quality injectors
  31. Stainless steel injector lines
  32. Upgraded brakes
  33. Deist 5 pt harness assembly on both front seats

  35. New spark plug wires and platinum plugs at 80k miles

  39. No radio, but antenna, wiring harnesses, and speakers installed
  40. paint (red) is faded
  41. VW GTi black bumper disease (black paint flakes)
  42. battery is 2 years old
  43. tires (Yoko 4 season high performance) have about 1 year left
  44. Vent windows inoperative (caulked due to wind noise)
  45. Mobil 1 used since break-in with oil and filter changed every 3k miles
  46. Regular maintenance by Andy King of R+A
  47. Sunroof
  48. never crashed
  49. LOTS of power, handles well -- serious mid-life crisis medicine!
