  23. One thing that I am ABSOLUTELY sure of, is that the lifters (followers)
  24. are NOT, DEFINATELY NOT adjustable. I asked about adjusting my 85 Jetta
  25. hydrolic (yes they are hydrolic thanks to VW Canada) followers when I
  26. was there getting an oil change. Guess what? They are suppose to be
  27. 'self' adjusting. Can't adjust them. Reason being, I was interested in
  28. buying a 88 Fox. Engine had the familiar loud ticking sound (worn
  29. followers). I enquired about the sound. Car dealer said "They can be
  30. adjusted".
  31. I said "Adjust them? Their not adjustable!" Needless to say, in reguards
  32. to my querie about the followers... One lesson has been learned.
