  13. Speaking as a poor-novice-looking-to-save-money-by-repairing-my-car-myself guy,
  14. I have a Bentley manual and a Chiltons manual for 1988 Fox.  Personally, I use
  15. the Bentley manualto tell me the specs and the chiltons to find out how to do
  16. things without the VW tools.  I personally have been confused by my Bentley
  17. manual and have used the chiltons to show me the light.  I'm not always
  18. impressed with the clarity of my Bentley manual nor always impressed with the
  19. accurateness of the chiltons.  However, with the hope  of both, I usually get
  20. something done with a minimal amount of cussing.  Just my experience, your
  21. experience may vary (and probably does!).
