- First Mistake ====== CHILTONs MANUAL ----- GARBAGE
- The Chiltons manuals are so inferior, they don't even pay attention to what
- model they GENERALIZE repairs for. They assume that any VW is like any other
- VW. Not so. I found the Bentley's to be so far superior that I have 2 of
- each. A greasy one for the shop, and a Pristine one for the bookshelf.
- Haynes manuals even outclass the Chilton Trashola. At least haynes puts
- real (not drawn) pictures in the book!
- I am sure however that Jettas after 84( i.e. A2) are HYDRAULIC.....
- They made this improvement for the A2 chassis and others in '85.
- Is everbody clear?
- Hope it helps.. -Craig.
