- A friend and I did a similiar job on his 1983, and I would say that it's
- easier to just drill through the motor housing mount to match it up to the
- older style mounting bracket in the car and grind down the blades. Also if
- you have a newer model Volvo (I think 1986 or later) do it yourself anyway.
- The problem is Volvo changed the heater fan design and stopped making the old
- one. The new fan fits, but with modification. If you have one designed for
- the newer fan it's a piece of cake.
