- I have a 1976 Ford LTD with a 400 cid engine. The car ocassionaly stalls
- when turning right. This car has always had a hesitation problem when
- turning to the right. After a carburetor rebuild the problem diminishes
- to a slight stumble. The problem gradually developes into a full fledged
- stall over the space of a few years. Then on to the next rebuild. Does any
- know of what could cause this? The carburetor is a two barrel.
-
- An alternative to another rebuild is to put a 4 barrel on. The object is
- not to maximize power but to get rid of the stumble. I do not want to buy
- a new intake manifold. How much would a rebuilt 4 barrel from a Ford 351
- cost? Would the 4 barrel fit on the 400's intake manifold? Thanks.
