  15.  Newer cars with electric fuel pumps have the fuel pump power gated by oil
  16. pressure to prevent the pump from running when the engine is off. This is
  17. bypassed during starting. If the new fuel pump does the same thing, have a
  18. look at the fuel pump power lead during and immediately after starting. 
  19. If power goes away when you quit cranking, suspect a bad fuel pump relay
  20. or oil pressure sender (or no oil pressure). Is the oil/check engine light
  21. on before it dies?
