  12. Has anyone had problems with the ZF 4 speed automatic transmission used in the 
  13. BMW 735iL (89 model year) ?

  15. The 735iL has an electronic shift control that can be set in one of three modes
  16. "E","S", and "M". The default is "E". The "E" stands for economy, it allows the
  17. car to shift into over-drive. When cursing between 55 and 70 at a low
  18. (2100) rpm the car begins shifting between 4 and 3 in a 4-3-4 pattern producing
  19. a vibration in read end (no pun intented). The other modes are fine.

  21. I had my mechanic drive the car and he said it might be a CV-Joint problem. He
  22. claims that CV-Joint amplifies the shifting.
