  15. :it's a peugeot 403 cabriolet, an early '60s model [don't have the
  16. :exact year; probably unimportant].  while not particularly valuable,
  17. :it _is_ extremely rare, which caused the producers much anguish and
  18. :dismay as the series dragged on and on...

  21. i understand that the original car was sold and restored after
  22. the series ceased production ( mid 70's or so ).  When they
  23. started shooting new episodes a few years ago, they bought
  24. back the actual car and 'un-restored' it.
