- I have a '63 Ford F-100 pickup. Still runs, in fact we still drive it
- two or three times a week. The 292 engine has a worn cam lobe, so
- I'll probably have to replace the camshaft. The body will for sure
- need a new paint job. The main problem is the rust on the chassis,
- especially around the driver's side door. The frame is still solid
- and shows no signs of rust, but the joint where the body wall meets
- the floor is so rotted that the rest of the body is starting to sag.
- In fact, the supports under the driver's side floor are starting to
- push up through the floor.
-
- Other than that it needs some side mirrors and a horn on the wheel.
- So the question I have for this audience is: How much would it
- cost to make it look good again? A *ballpark* figure. Not show
- quality, but presentable. And yes I plan to do the work myself.
