- It seems I missed the vote and creation of this group. My news reader
- doesn't wait very long for me to read things. I didn't even get to see
- the original posting of the above quoted reply (this puzzles me). This
- group just magically appeared one day in my unsubscribed list. I have no
- idea how long it was there before I saw it and subscribed.

- Anyway, I wouldn't want to exceed the charter of the group. I would,
- however, like to know just how strict it is. My Healey, for example,
- would have distressed a purist when I first got it. It is a 3000 MkII,
- originally a tri-carb. When I got it, it had a carb setup from a MkIII,
- and a front grill from a Mk1 or 100-6. I don't plan on changing these
- back to original form, but I do plan to put electronic ignition on it,
- and a modern, compact fuel pump. Are these sorts of things out of bounds
- for this group, or are y'all more concerned about the folks who replace
- the Jaguar XJ6 engine with a Chevy V8?
