  24. I took these numbers from a graph, so they are probably off by a little.

  30. On a related note:  There was some debate/question as to how many cars
  31.                     were on the road (new and used) in the US and Japan.

  33. Based on the above numbers and a population of 250 million, US and
  34. 125 million, Japan, the number of cars on the road in each nation
  35. would be:

  38.       Japan        35.0 million
  39.
