  15. I am desiging a system around the Accuton 211, 277 and an 8 in woofer
  16. in a tall but slender ported enclosure.

  18. My choice for woofer is either Eton 8-470 or 580 (whichever is the
  19. long throw), or the Focal 8k-415s.   I will be crossing it over at
  20. about 400Hz.

  22. The Eton is on paper, more expensive, but much better low end response.

  24. Is it worth the bucks? ($175 each v. $90 each).

  28. Also...any comments on using a slim tall tower for the system; with
  29. regard to dispersion, image, structure, etc.

  31. The enclosure will probably be about 10" X 14" (deep) X 38".  I will
  32. fill the lower few inches with sand, spikes, etc.  3/4" sides and
  33. rear; 1.5" front and bottom MDF construction.
