- OK. What we want to work towards is seperating your sub bass from the
- rest of your response. So, say, everything below 200 HZ (that point is
- rather high, but have a professional listen to what you have and what
- kind of car, etc.) goes into your dual voice coil sub, and the other two
- channels go into your satalite (door) speakers. Keep the passive
- between the mids and tweets.

- A two way crossover does that. At or below sub bass -> subwoofer.
- Above that -> door speakers.

-
- Front to rear? Use a passive L-Pad style fader. Radio shack has a unit
- which can take two channels in, and put that into four channels out.

- The steeper the better. Find out what your frequency point needs to be,
- and plug or dial it in, and keep it that way!

-
- 2 way crossovers are more popular because they make a lot of sense, and
- in cases like yours, are perfect :). The Audio Control 2XS is what I
- would go with, especially for the money! Also, a lot of cheaper active
- crossovers are noise prone. Audio Control products are guaranteed NOT
- to introduce noise. They physically can't.
