  30. Nope, an XR series controller will not control a U series changer.
  31. The cabling is completely different, and is not compatible in the
  32. stock form.  Anyone out there consider modifying via cabling the U
  33. series changers to work with an XR series deck?  I don't know if this
  34. can be done off hand... If I get a chance I'll see if I can take one
  35. of the new changers apart for a closer look.
  36. Don't worry too much... the CDX-A55 will probably remain around for a
  37. while considering it's a new model.
