  10. Has anyone heard anything about the new Mini-Disc (MD) coming to car
  11. stereos.  There are so many advantages to MDs:

  13. 1) Smaller (2.5" sqare) discs
  14. 2) Scratch-proof cover (like a 3.5" computer disk)
  15. 3) Recordable
  16. 4) Non-skipping (most players have a 10 second memory, so you'd have to
  17. go over 10 seconds of HARSH - enough to make the player unable to read
  18. any data - bumps before it started skipping)
  19.  
  20. Considering that the portable, recording units have an introductory
  21. price around $700, I think that pretty soon car units will be available
  22. for substantially less than that.
