- All,
- False alarms are annoying for everybody, but not every alarm out
- there is guilty of this. The only time that my alarm gave off false
- signals is when I first put it in and it was not totally adjusted. I
- used false signals to set it BECAUSE I did not want it going off by
- natural causes. I didn't figure slapping my bumper was the proper way
- to get it adjusted correctly. Now that it is adjusted correctly it
- only goes of when some one hits it or something. Oh, Yeah, I am
- sorry it went off in that hail storm last year. Marble size hail
- does that sometimes. I would hate to live in Calif and have it go
- off in an earthquake. Would not want someone under my car with his
- garden tools.....
- As for the guy who said...cut the battery cable off with a
- pruning tool...I don't think so. 1. You could not get under most
- cars to get to the battery cables. They are too low any more. 2.
- That does not even account for the fact that the alarm is going off
- in your face at the time. This can be very painful. 3. Did you
- ever consider that the alarm may have a backup battery. I hope so,
- I would hate for you to go through all that trouble and have the
- alarm still going off in your FACE!!! 4. I would like to see you
- explain why your are on the ground when the owner comes by with his
- baseball bat. Or even better, a cop with his flash light. Blinded
- by the light and deaf too. Click! Click! You have the right to...
- I won't even reply about the guy who added to the above
- statement by speaking of grounding the positive straight. Ok, Lefty!
- As for the various people who have spoken of useing sledge
- hammers and other such items to the hood. All I can say is......
- 911-Yes...There is some one bashing in the hood of a car with
- a sledge hammer. RE: We will be sending someone by...<time goes by>
- Excuse me sir...Why are you doing that to that car? RE: Duh! Duh!
- Click! Click! You have the right to......
- As for the guy who said...Empty the oil out, it won't set off
- motion sensor. I don't know how tight you tighten you drain bolt...
- but I know mine is tight enough to trigger the alarm if an attempt
- to remove it is made. Maybe if we are lucky enough....yours is loose
- enough to fall out by itself. See...I can speak ignorantly malicious
- too.
- As for the guy who spoke of cockroaches and Honda Civics and
- Mack Trucks, etc... I think you definitely have a problem. Maybe
- you aren't hearing alarms going off. Maybe it's the effects of the
- drugs you are on. Just sleep it off! <Don't do DRUGS!!!>
