  16.         Two days ago I purchased a set of Definitive Technology speakers
  17.         for my surround system (Pioneer D1S).  List price for these
  18.         speakers were:

  22.          C-1  ( one) $ 299 ''

  24.         I paid $1587 at a local A/V store (Cookin') - special deal 'til 11/30

  26.         FWIW: I _luv_ the way they sound!  Great sound stage.  Quite sweet
  27.         and transparent.  They do a wonderful job of reproducing all types
  28.         of music.  I was amazed at how much better they sound on SS material
  29.         (Apocalypse Now and Fantasia LDs so far) than my old speaker system 
  30.         (AR sub-woofer and satelites, NHT center chanel, Sony bookshelfs at 
  31.         rear).
