  39. Also old CBS Latenight series like "Night Heat" and "Adderly" were filmed in
  40. Toronto, and set in "unnamed eastern cities".  "Adderly" almost certainly 
  41. was set in Ottowa (he's a govt. agent, and they frequently refer to 
  42. "ministry" business as opposed to "federal" matters).  "Night Heat"
  43. was in an unnamed city that was supposed to be a mirror image of New
  44. York or possibly Boston.

  46. Many miniseries are filmed in Toronto but set elsewhere:  "I'll Take
  47. Manhattan" for example.

  55. Actually, they only said they were in LA for the first two seasons.  Then
  56. MacGyver and Pete quit the DXS and went to work for the Phoenix Foundation,
  57. Mac moved to the houseboat, etc.  It was certainly a West Coast city,
  58. but after the move they never said where it was.  IMHO, it was winter
  59. too often to be LA! I'd vote for Seattle.
