- And would Kurgen then get a taste of some French meat? :)
- (FlameGuard: no sexist comment here -- I'm referring to events from
- the movie which have set a precedent)
-
- Actually, I think that something noble should happen to Duncan. As
- I said before under an earlier post (note the name change here), it's
- fairly obvious that Duncan is the most human of the immortals to be
- revealed thus far (I kinda wish we had gotten to see more of Deverraux
- from 'Free Fall' as he was a really interesting character). As such,
- he could conceivably be killed by a mortal -- and what would happen if
- he were? Quickening release - a mortal becomes immortal? Or the
- power scatters to the others left alive on the planet? A recently dead
- immortal is resurrected? (The Quickening is very heavily suggested to
- be a finite contained power on the world)
-
- Or maybe something could happen involving a battle on holy ground,
- which is forbidden by all customs among the immortals. Duncan could
- kill (or be killed) at or in a church/temple/synagogue/etc, and we could
- see some real fireworks (the Beast from Highlander I's conclusion would
- be a distinct touch here). I do think, however, that a cameo from
- someone in the original movie is mandated (and no, I'm not talking about
- Connor's appearance in the pilot -- that's kind of an essential for
- continuation purposes). Fazeil returning is a good idea; we could see
- someone defeat DUNCAN for a change and leave him. Aman Fazeil seems to
- be the sort of guy who would take a head any way he could get it, though.
- Maybe Castagir? Or some new person? (I shudder to think; maybe we
- could see Joan Jett come back with a vengeance and leave laughing although
- the prospect would make me nauseous)
-
- Does anyone have a complete episode guide? Or info on upcoming episodes?
-
- (I'm in the Champaign, Illinois area and our broadcasting is real nonspecific.
- Hell, we're lucky to get the Star Trek season premieres out here -- more
- often than not they end up getting botched visually and/or audiowise.)
-
- I heard (and NOT just from this group) that the maker of Ramirez's
- katana (Misumori? I have a tendency to butcher names here in case you
- hadn't noticed) was going to be the primary guest star in Highlander III.
- Whether or not he would be an immortal was unclear (although I assume he
- would, as Ramirez's tutor and mentor)
-
- Another thought (sorry to waste width)
-
- What if somebody really famous were an immortal? Say, Magellan, or
- Abraham Lincoln (what better way of staging your own death than having a
- nonimmortal shoot you in the head? You'd certainly survive it). Some
- scientist somewhere (similar to the 21 Jump Street star) whose eternal
- life allowed him to shut himself up somewhere and focus on achieving some
- major scientific accomplishments. (Now he just has to live with the creation
- of the atomic bomb on his conscience...)
-
- Sounds like a good idea for some publication in whatever media suits...
